Never in my experience to ever discover a band on personal website without searching nor knowing them before. On Neocities off all places too?? Strange yet intriguing. Even better that they actually on tour! First I thought it simply an old website hosting test all that but nope, seeing their tour dates are all from the future dates like woahhh. Ütközés is one my fav pick yea. Labels: music talks Dream Goals 2026: Sports Edition ![]() Don't mind me just being dreamy
Labels: sports talk, whatever Sports Dilemma feat. Luke Hughes ![]()
Above incident happened to Luke Hughes days ago really taken me back to youngster years. While not being his big fan nor his team, I simply felt sympathy for him especially during the post-game interview. Being one of generational talents - yet not commonly acknowledged for his own prowess - likely added up pressure too. Homie had enough and needed encouragement pats. Yes, mistakes happens but what drives me to write this time is... the sheer difference between male and female fans' reaction regarding said incident. True, not all of them like that but the samples are large enough that it's hard to not notice overall patterns. Just saying. You see, IRL never had I ever express interest in sports (except that one time me father heard me watching CFL but that's beside the point), particularly in my school years. Major factor is how intense the environment can be whenever male figures around me indulge with sports with communally watching them being absolute red zone. The concrete dissonance I feel within such situation really what keep me shut down any instance of interest in sports for so long. Granted I'm now able to watch them in pure joy, then having add-on commentary, sharing others' stuff, reading community feeds (forum), catching on news and so on. Sucks to not have at least one IRL friend to gush about them but perhaps it's for the best. I mean both gridiron football and ice hockey already niche where I'm from sooo oh well. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Labels: angry, diary, ini cerita aku, sports talk RSS Feeds ![]()
Sometimes wondering how many people in their 20s and below ever use RSS Feed feature in their due to how long it been around. Gotta admit that I myself didn't utilise it until recently. In my defence, my school's IT class never taught or even mentioned anything about it okay. Oddly enough, it's one of little things that kid me quite curious about but again being youngster with limited Internet access, the question soon dissipates in mind and was left unanswered... until last year. So what happened was I watched a video explaining about what and how RSS works. All fine and dandy. Wowwed that its functionality really helpful now that I'm back into good ol' blogging. Despite that, I still a bit sceptical, thinking it's only for blogs, articles, news and the like. On top that, most blogs I followed before are inactive anyway so what's the point? You wanna know what exactly sold me into using RSS asap? Learning that you can 'follow' a particular tag (usually in the form of a pairing/ship) in AO3. YOU'RE TELLING ME I CAN JUST... USE THAT INSTEAD OF REFRESHING THE TAB AGAIN AND AGAIN!!?? Yeah, you heard me right. It's RSS availability for tags was the very thing pulled me into getting myself an RSS reader. Ironically I use it for other sites more since I used to religiously visit them, and GOSH it's a huge life-changer! You see, before this I had to manually visit sites then doomscrolling them for minutes to hours to keep up with their updates. Yeah, to be unsolicited algorithm victim once again. =[ But now with the aid of RSS, I can telescope them all without having to waste time making manual visits with mindless scrolling thus significantly cut my screen time. Not saying it's a perfect solution but it certainly a great way into the journey for healthier relationship with online world, am I right? To use RSS, of course RSS reader is needed. The one I use right now is Feeder. And uhh there's quite interesting stuff I wanna talk about them so do take it with lil pinched salt. If you look up their pricing plan, their free one coincidentally being what I need on a reader, for the most part that is. First, 30 mins update speed. Great! Less traffic jam of centralised notifications. Second, 200 feeds (or sites) max available as submissions to your feed dashboard. Awesome! Less road options that go to nowhere. If anything it'll be defeating the very purpose of me using RSS if I ever feel the pressure to keep up with all incoming feeds; you knowww same pressure leading me to doomscroll individual sites in the first place?? Not worth it! Also I find myself not visiting some sites anymore. Before this, I'm there just because they happened to be hosted at same place with sites I frequently visit. They're what I call junk sites. Thirdly, 50 newest entries for each feed (this affects rapidly updating sites more so I only be covering for those context). I meannn I'm adding the sites for recent updates anyways plus relating back to previous points of lesser feed traffic and pathaways being better for my experience so no issue on that. Fourthly, uhh not wanting to jinx it so I won't dive deep here but still, that one thing that tend to included to free tier of any services that offer subscription plans not being the case here. Fifth, native reader site, extension and app where you can access all feeds you subscribed. I mostly use them in extension form so not much to talk about other than the site on PC fairly neat in my experience. Excluding paid features, it's intuitive enough for me to know where I need to go, what I need to do upon registration. No plan using the app for now since I'm not on-the-go frequent enough that it becomes a need, so there's that. Lastly, I wanna share my experience with rss.app. Registering there just to check around if they're a reader that I might find interesting to use (not full on-board with Feeder at the time). Imagine my surprise when I immediately being put on free trial, no warning, no option to opt-out, and worst of all, subscribed feeds can expire so you need to resubscribe if you want them to stay in your dashboard. Me not wanting to play their crappy business game, quickly excused myself out by poofing away the registration. Bye. This right here are textbook red flags: business practices edition, really are - truly blacklist material. Honestly, I could give it a pass if the free trial is at least optional like Discord Nitro. Sighhh when will business ever learn that forced sales are not the way? Sorry for the anger tide. It needs to go somewhere somehow. T-T Labels: blogger, diary, ini cerita aku My Writing Style | The Answer ![]() How's my day? Nobody asked. Today I just finished write up baseline code for my website's page that will visually showcase my interests. Oh and also uhh supposedly I write about RSS Feed but since now having new school of thought tonight, it'll go the draft purgatory for now oop. Anywayyy, I just watch this video that encourage people to write more creative non-fiction. And not gonna lie, it indirectly gives me answer on a lingering thought I had for quite awhile now that I'm back into blogging. You see, I.. don't see myself as a /writer/ writer (in context of fanfiction writer here) and more of a Backstreet scriptwriter as I seem to not fancy on writing the way what you expect when you open a fic. Mine's is the form of dialogues; direct declaration on who's currently talking, which seems to be quite mocked format if say you publish it at fanfiction dedicated sites. So I don't do that anymore and publish it to my blogs instead. While it's not that big of a deal, I still yearn for concrete answer on its reasoning outside of it being my preference. "I gotta be more than that!" said my brain. When watching the aforementioned video, suddenly a thought appeared in my mind where I might be actually fond of the script format when writing fics due to sheer rawness it feels to me. Imagine if a fic is a website, my writing style is pretty much can be described as a website made of pure HTML and minimal CSS, nothing more, maybe less. Which is the very same why I able to write in super long essays when blogging or fine going through endless coding height but not so much on writing a fic. When you're coding, their logical functionality - plus your overall understanding and familiarity of them - will decide whether you'll get the result you want or not. Missed punctuation? Boom, the code won't run. 'Position: relative;' not in the CSS of an element? Boom, element suddenly not responsive. You get the idea. Whereas when you're writing as yourself speaking outside fictional realm (think of journaling for example), the only definite obstacle you'll have is well, yourself, in my opinion. Yes sure there could be other factors too but that one depends on each individual, right? Therefore, for me, the less bureaucracy happens in my brain when I'm writing the more extensive my output will become. Writing a fic however, feels like an art of written puppetry to me - usually between two puppets but may vary depending on the story in question. Say you want your story to be deliberately enjoyable for others, there's likely be the need to make your puppet(s) be as appealing as possible, the need to have your puppetry skill be as entertaining as possible, the need to run the show where the venue and stage in-line to very craft you dearly want to express. The amount of information traffic happened even just for a one-shot truly melt my creativity tank level had I forced myself towards conventional format. To put it simply, I'm just not that guy sobsss. Respect for folks who can write dictionary-thick fic. Such sorcery definitely possible with love, care and passion to the core. XD Labels: blogger, diary, ini cerita aku System of Romance | A Comprehensive Synth-Based Archive ![]() G'day! 2026 finally arrives to spread out the canvas or page for a brand new life chapter. As an opener, I wanna give some light to a diamond mine for classic synth-based music fans out there. What's so special about this blog is that the way I found it through Wiby. If you're not familiar with what that is, it's basically a search engine for non-commercial personal websites; old-school kind to be clear. We're talking about raw HTML/CSS on display! From what I heard, indexed sites don't have JavaScript? Makes sense if that's the case, since the main goal here is to ensure said sites are discoverable and run well on older computers,s so complex coding potentially breaks the exploring experience for some. Like I said, since they're meant for very old sites, most of the result pretty much what you expect from them - classic old-school aesthetic, niche interest showcase, outdated information by today's standard, inactive in term of updates, you name it. While the blog in question indeed has similar characteristics, there's one thing that makes it stick out so much for me. You see, when I made the search with my interest as keywords, I didn't expect much from it. The results themselves were very countable to give you any picture. Imagine my surprise when I noticed that it is a fairly updated blog. Even crazier that I'm not familiar with most bands in the entries (heard of some but not know much in details), thus making it more intriguing to explore. To be fair, I'm more leaning to rockier side of goth like some dark post-punk, goth-rock and deathrock but that's beside the point alright. Another major factor drawing me into the blog is the sheer passion the author(s) have for each music entry. Like you can feel it seeping in when reading it one by one. Something that I can relate to, halfway that is. What I meant is that as much as I savour some music like a whole buffet in my party mind, I seem to be unable to articulate words to explain them well. Everything make sense input-wise, but it's all a jumbled mess on the output. That extensive music reviews from articles, magazines, websites, record labels, verbal if in video format, etc… I'm not that guy, really am. Oddly enough, seeing someone able to express their interest the way I wished to cheered me up. Perhaps due to it being supremely niche by the grand scheme of things, so any amount of effort felt like stepping up a giant flight of stairs in one go. Never underestimate the power of word of mouth as they say. Labels: diary, ini cerita aku, music talks Flourishing Old Love ![]() I don't know what's with me since mid last month, but I slowly coming back to my dearest old love for coding. For personal sites, specifically. Not complaining though. I think it's all started from the moment I stopped playing any game from that company that shall be not named. My world suddenly felt... different. In a sense of reality boomerang itself back to me but in more gentler way. Majorly, I noticed noticed how much time I spent on smartphone for certain apps. As in it actually worried me instead of me usually brushing it off prior to cutting the rope with them. On top of that, lately I also fated to watch some YouTubers with similar experience when it comes to how modern Internet (social medias in particular) doesn't feel as fulfilling for daily life anymore and how older ways of navigating the web much more engaging. Then there's come one of old Internet style heaven, NeoCities. No word can describe how much the site really pulling me back to good old days where I truly enjoy myself for extended amount of time via coding as mentioned earlier. A bit sceptical at first but after watching couple NeoCities browsing vids, I cannot help but to finally give it a try. And GOSH it's indeed a good decision. Browsing others' first for funsies and maybe some inspos then start my website making game right away. As much as I loving it, it would be a lie if I say I'm not wishing to be as whimsical as some other haha. Oh well, perhaps it's something that I enjoy from others, not so much from myself. And here's some videos for a little bit of entry flavouring. Labels: blogger, diary, ini cerita aku 2025 Epilogue ![]() Since 2025 will be ending very very soon, I think it's the best time for little bit year-end personal conclusion. So early year I did set up a goal to savour stories like food. And overall I'd say I'm passing above my bare minimum target. I enjoyed Limbus Company's Canto 8 a lot despite being stuck at some of the boss levels. Already quite liking Hong Lu (MC of the chapter) but GOSH the canto really brings out the best of him to the fullest. Also with non-spoiler context, the bosses were pretty funny choices:
Oh, and Canto 9 will be released tomorrow, so uhh there goes my New Year's Eve plan. Contrarily, I might bump up my achievement if you ever consider looking up particular sportsmen as enjoying their autobiography in its rawest form. Just saying. Talking about coding (don't worry I won't mention the technical stuff), I don't know why I never considered writing a draft in Sublime Text until today. It is a fancier Notepad with free dark mode themes when you think about it. Before this, I only use it for coding in university years and just boot it up recently for personal project, though I end up having to use other software instead since it doesn't offer a particular feature that I need unfortunately. On top of purchase reminder on occasional saving but since it's non-intrusive kind so they got a pass. But cool thing I learn today are snake case and kebab case text stylisation. Never know they even had names. That being said, I still use LibreOffice for my script since the eye-piercing light mode keeps me up to work on the story as opposed to more relaxed writing on Sublime Text lolol. Alright, so for next year my goal would be gradually navigate my attention better when creating/editing, be it artworks, script, coding, or any other rambles like these. Cheers to a better (next) year! Labels: ini cerita aku, whatever December's Coming! What's Next for 2026? ![]() Wow! How time flies if we're looking at the massive gap between this post and the last time I updated here oop. So here's what's happening, alright? First and foremost, I had a major life turn where I finally free to the fullest from a game company that cannot be named cuz they were *that* vile for me to share. No, y'all don't even get any clue too for said reason, >:( Ok, ok so this evil entity is a bad spot in my life, so what's the story you ask? Ok well, they're not exactly what I call pure form of evil necessarily. It's simply the usual response when a company diverges from their roots but in a very, very bad way. After constant fruitless hope, even after sending feedback by official mean, still no favourable change made by them. It's like them throwing some of us players like we don't matter to the slightest (other than for money, that is). I don't want to expand it any longer cuz just thinking about them consciously already gives me chills. So let's zip it here ok? So for a better time I have after that escape, I do things that younger me would never have thought to do in the first place, where I finally get the excitement and enthusiasm of my father when he's watching football(⚽). While I don't exactly watch the sport specifically but it's the spirit that I'm talking about yea. What I meant is that I'm constantly in pure enjoyment watching gridiron football (NFL, CFL) and ice hockey (NHL, KHL) these days. I never felt my mental field be so darn wide for so long before graduation, cuz life just suck sometimes y'know? :') Here's some pics to sweeten up this entry as my brain now too fried for longer babbling. May everyone reading be having good times!
Anton Frondell from Chicago Blackhawks. Not officially drafted yet from my knowledge. Hoping to see him in action for 2026/2027 season. Amon-Ra St. Brown(top) and Jahmyr Gibb(bottom) from Detroit Lions during matchup against Tampa Bay Buccaneers [21st October 2025]
Labels: ini cerita aku, update 2025: A Resolution ![]() Since 2024 will be ending soon, I suppose it'll be nice to share me dear resolution as a closure; which is to savour stories like you eat food. Some might be total gourmet, ̶m̶e̶d̶i̶c̶a̶l̶ ̶d̶r̶u̶g̶, while some others will be neat late-night snacks. Ever since I got into Project Moon stuff (well Limbus in particular), I felt like my general appreciation for stories significantly changed. Like some sort of bizarre enlightenment to say the least. It doesn't matter if it's from animations, games, digital/printed books, fanfics, webtoons, blog posts, and pdf scans even if they're old kinds of literature. Like I've been contemplating whether to read L'Étranger or not cuz I love Limbus Meursault very much aaa. Most important part would be consuming it on my own pace and not forcing myself too much into a story if I'm not in the mood to do so for my mental health's sake. May this year would be kinder to us all. xx Labels: ini cerita aku |
